Packing List
Clothing
Pack in layers — Alaska weather shifts fast and summer days run super long. A couple pairs of jeans or pants is plenty for the week, plus shorts and tees for hot days and warm layers, gloves, and a hat for cold ones. Don’t forget your swimsuit for the spa.
Hat
Your lucky fishing hat for sun and rain. A knit pullover is handy too.
Camera & Photo Gear
Bring a wet case if you have one — GoPros, phones, and cameras will see both fresh and salt water. Back up your devices before you fly.
Fishing Tackle
Bring your spinning or fly rod set-ups for trout stream fishing. The Lodge has some limited equipment on hand, and you can buy what you need when you arrive. All gear and tackle are provided on excursions.
Foul-Weather Gear
The Lodge has a limited supply of rain gear and rubber boots on hand for guest use. If you own a custom-fit set, bring it. We’ll do our best to fit guests in M–XXL.
Medications & Comfort
Pack sea-sickness meds or ask your doctor about patches. Bring sunscreen and mosquito lotion.
Spares
Bring backups for anything you depend on — glasses, contacts, hearing aids. Replacements are tough to come by out here. Plan ahead.
Luggage
Your allowance varies by airline. Most guests ship a #50 box of fish home as luggage; the Lodge will help freeze and pack your fish box for the trip.
Shopping for Your Trip
basspro.com is a solid resource for everything you’ll need. There are also local shops within an hour of the Lodge with great gear.
Special Diet
Bring any specialty food items you need. Our Lodge cook will work with you to make every meal enjoyable.
Cash & Tips
Bring cash for tips, fishing license, guides, lodge staff, and local shopping. An ATM is five minutes from the Lodge if you need one.
